Unlike an ocean cruise, river cruises give visitors an up close look at the villages, castles and historic sites that dot the coast line. The chore of packing and unpacking is eliminated as you cruise the majestic waterways of the European continent – the Rhine, the Danube, the Douro and others. Meals and accommodations are all included in one price. Sometimes excursions and other amenities are also complimentary making it a stress-free experience.

Over the Water Bungalows

These ultra-luxurious romantic getaways are the ultimate for honeymooners looking for a special getaway. However, their availability is currently limited so plan ahead.

Food and Wine

cuisineThe growing interest in culinary experiences has also hit the honeymoon market. The popularity of cooking shows and celebrity chefs is now integrated into the travel arena making cooking classes, winery visits, farm-to-table restaurant experiences and street food exploration part of some travelers wish list.  Foodies everywhere are celebrating!

Healthy Travel

adventureWellness travel has grown as a vacation sector over the last few years, so it is no surprise it is also a big interest for newlyweds.  More than 80% of the couple surveyed in a recent study note they were more active on their honeymoon than they are at home. The trend can include biking and hiking along with more adventurous activities such as mountain climbing, white water rafting and even sky diving….talk about making the sky the limit!
